Installation Guide

Follow these steps in order. Customer setup is just two files and one MT5 WebRequest URL.

Download your two files

Sign in to your Trading Solutions account and download the current EX5 and your personalised SET.

Your SET is personalised automatically. Do not manually type or change the licence key.

Open the MT5 Data Folder

Open the Windows desktop version of MetaTrader 5.

  1. Click File.
  2. Click Open Data Folder.

Copy the files into the correct folders

Use the Data Folder opened in Step 2.

SET:

MQL5\Profiles\Presets\TradingSolutions_B104_9_BETA_RC_DEMO.set

Back in MT5, right-click Expert Advisors in Navigator and choose Refresh, or restart MT5.

Add the one WebRequest URL

This is the only Trading Solutions WebRequest URL a customer needs.

  1. Click Tools → Options → Expert Advisors.
  2. Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL.
  3. Add:
https://api.tradingsolutions.uk

No 127.0.0.1 URL is required for customers.

Open your broker's Gold chart on M5

Trading Solutions runs on the Gold five-minute chart.

Your broker may call Gold XAUUSD, GOLD, XAUUSD.a, XAUUSDm or something similar. Use your broker's Gold symbol and select M5.

Attach Trading Solutions

Find the EA in MT5 Navigator.

  1. Open Navigator → Expert Advisors.
  2. Find Trading Solutions.
  3. Drag it onto your Gold M5 chart, or double-click it.

Load your personalised SET

The SET contains the approved production settings and your licence.

  1. Open the EA Inputs tab.
  2. Click Load.
  3. Select TradingSolutions_B104_9_BETA_RC_DEMO.set.
  4. Click OK.
Important: use the SET downloaded from your own customer account. A generic SET has no customer licence.

Turn Algo Trading ON

MT5 must permit automated trading for the EA to operate.

  1. Turn the main Algo Trading button ON.
  2. In the EA Common/permissions area, allow algorithmic trading if prompted.
  3. Leave the Gold M5 chart open.

The EA can legitimately wait for a setup. No immediate trade does not mean installation failed.

Confirm BOUND and ONLINE

Return to your Trading Solutions customer account.

  • MT5 binding: BOUND
  • EA connection: ONLINE
  • Last seen: recent / just now
  • EA version: B104.9.2

The EA sends a heartbeat every five minutes. After first connection, allow a few minutes for the status to refresh.

You're ready

Once the portal shows BOUND and ONLINE, leave MT5 running. If you use a Windows VPS, disconnect Remote Desktop without shutting down Windows or closing MT5.

Quick fixes

Something not working?

MISSING_KEYDownload the personalised SET from your own customer account and load it again.
WebRequest blockedAdd https://api.tradingsolutions.uk in MT5 Tools → Options → Expert Advisors.
NOT SEENCheck MT5 internet access, Algo Trading and that the personalised SET is loaded.
ACCOUNT_MISMATCHThe licence is bound to another MT5 account. Contact support to clear the binding when moving account.
EA not visibleCheck the EX5 is under MQL5 → Experts → TradingSolutions, then refresh Navigator or restart MT5.
